The Drum School is a community-led project in South London, transforming a former shop into a lively home for rhythm, learning and local gathering. Working closely with the team and the neighbourhood, we’ve designed a fit-out that includes teaching rooms, a warm and welcoming reception, and flexible spaces for community events. The aim is simple: create an environment where young people can explore percussion, build confidence and feel part of something.
The interior uses practical, hard-wearing materials softened with curtains and acoustic treatments to keep the rooms comfortable and sound-balanced. A bold, characterful façade brings energy to the street and signals the purpose of the space without shouting.
At its heart, the project is about social impact—offering a place for creativity, support, and connection. The Drum School isn’t just somewhere to learn music; it’s a space for the community to gather, grow and make a bit of joyful noise together.
