Located in the historic Barbican complex, our refurbishment of this penthouse makes the most of its location in this brutalist icon, using the concrete materiality it is famous for to reflect the internal treatment of the apartment. Exposing the original concrete soffits and introducing timber joinery, we sought to create a space that feels both aspirational and appropriate to Chamberlin, Powell and Bon’s original vision.
